'The final graduate project takes an architectural approach to reimagine primary schools in the UK, to tackle children's mental health and sparking creativity within the classroom. The scheme is inspired by the traditional activity of the 'carpet time' in a form of a 'Magic Carpet' to spark children's imagination'.

Client:

Collaboration with LadBible for young men aged 18-24

'Based in London 'House of Lad' is a membership-only community centre supported by online magazine LadBible, it is aimed to stop toxic masculinity experienced by young men aged between 18-24.

The concept uses shapes from the game Tetris to form pockets of 'accidential therapy' private and open spaces for men to open up about their mental health through activity. Contrasting finishes differentiates between open and closed spaces that defines the opportunity for men to speak up'.
